The abortion procedure itself is performed in a modern, air-conditioned hospital room. Intravenous anesthesia is administered by an anesthesiologist, and the entire procedure lasts only a few minutes. Afterward, each patient receives a free three-day course of antibiotics to prevent infection. It is also worth noting that the Head Physician is available for telephone consultations — both before and after the procedure. This provides an additional sense of safety and reassurance, knowing that care does not end the moment a patient leaves the clinic.
How to Get to the Hospital in Bilovec?
The hospital in Bilovec is located about 15 minutes from the Polish border and just a few minutes from the motorway. Building A is situated on the second floor, and free parking is available directly in front of the facility.
After the procedure, patients should not drive for 24 hours, so it is important to arrange transportation in advance. You may arrive in your own car or with a companion. We also offer paid transport services from Silesia, Wrocław, and Kraków.
How Does the Procedure Work in Our Hospital?
The entire visit takes about two hours and takes place in a calm, professional environment. Each step is clearly explained, and the patient remains under the ongoing care of our medical staff.
The visit includes:
- Registration and a short medical questionnaire, which helps the doctor choose the most appropriate type of anesthesia.
- A consultation with the chief physician and an ultrasound scan confirming the gestational age.
- A meeting with the anesthesiologist and administration of brief intravenous sedation.
- A vacuum aspiration procedure performed in accordance with WHO standards. It takes only a few minutes and is considered a very safe method.
- A follow-up ultrasound, administration of antibiotics, and post-procedure instructions after a short rest.
Most patients feel well later the same day and can return to their usual daily activities shortly after leaving the clinic.
How to Prepare for the Procedure?
Proper preparation before the procedure helps ensure that everything goes smoothly and comfortably.
- Fasting. Do not eat, drink, or smoke for several hours before the procedure.
- Light meal the day before. The last meal on the previous day should be light and free of dairy products.
- Transportation. Due to sedation, you must not drive for 24 hours after the procedure. It is advisable to arrange transport home with a companion or another mode of transport.
- Accommodation. If you are traveling a long distance, consider booking nearby accommodation.
- Questions. Before your visit, you may prepare questions regarding the effectiveness of the procedure, return of fertility, and contraception after the procedure.
